BLOCK THE BOAT #BDS

END ISRAELI APARTHEID

REQUEST FOR SOLIDARITY MESSAGE FOR #BLOCKTHEBOAT CAMPAIGN AND UPCOMING BLOCK THE BOAT ACTION IN DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA!

Durban, South Africa is preparing to #BlockTheBoat on July 10, 2021. Send the workers and community a solidarity message today!

As the people of Palestine continue to resist violent assaults by apartheid Israel and its collaborators, efforts to boycott, divest and sanction apartheid Israel are intensifying. The success of the international #BlockTheBoat campaign, as part of the broader BDS movement, is an indication of the wide consensus amongst labor and communities across the world that Palestine is a central social or economic justice issue. Workers have honored community pickets against Israel’s largest shipping company, ZIM, from Oakland to Prince Rupert, Vancouver, New York, Seattle, and Durban. And more actions are planned, including next week in Durban South Africa!

South Africa trade unions and anti-apartheid activists have always stood strong against apartheid Israel and in support of BDS. Most recently, Mandla Mandela, the grandson of Nelson Mandala, endorsed the #BlockTheBoat campaign and called on all South African institutions to support BDS.

We are calling on comrades across the world to submit messages of solidarity with #BlocktheBoat, and with the workers of South Africa as they gear up for an action against the Israeli ZIM shipping company on Saturday, July 10.

Would you be willing to record a short message (no more than 2 minutes) in solidarity with the international #BlocktheBoat campaign?
